Firstly, congrats on your blog, I really enjoyed reading it. Don’t know how familiar you are with the Homecoming Revolution, but it is one of those pathetic SA organizations that are trying to convince expats to return to SA. I (and some other concerned ex-Saffas) have made it our mission to expose them for the fraudsters they are. They suck up to the SA ANC regime and other sponsoring bodies, without addressing the root causes of Saffas having left SA in the first place. And in parallel, they try to convince expats to return by painting a rosy picture of the situation in SA:
1) "Crime is not so bad, it happens everywhere" 2) "AA is not an issue, there are so many jobs around!" 3) "BEE is no stumbling block towards starting your own business!" Etc., etc., etc…..
As soon as I started getting these "vibes" from them, I started to contribute on their blog, refuting them where possible, and where possible trying to focus on the hard facts and truths about South Africa in general. This is where my fallouts and continuous arguments started: I cannot stand the fact that they are deliberately misleading homesick expats, painting a rosy picture, telling them to return - playing on emotions rather than rationale.
